I joined the chorus when I was 14 or 15 years old at the High School of
Music and Art. Then it was an after school club - and the clubs were
giving performances. I was enthralled by the music which I had never
heard before, and joined the club. From then on for the next six years
the chorus was the center and soul of my life. In a sense it still is.
I've just returned to my country cottage from a choral rehearsal in
San Francisco- Masses of Schubert and Mozart, but the Renaissance is
always with me... and I often have in mind some of Harold's
compositions that we sang. Well, music to us all forever!
