While at Harvard Summer School in 1961 I met Virginia Schuler Schulman and we became friends. She introduced me to the chorus. I fell in love with the music and although I have no recordings, yet, the sound of the Renaissance Chorus remains vividly a part of me.

Harold was utterly passionate about getting it right, and to my mind when it was right the music we made was magical — and utterly unique. And, the experience of being in the chorus was so meaningful that although I didn't spend social time with many of you I do remember the usual spots where each of us stood.

I was amazed and flabbergasted to hear from Ruth — and my best to all of you I knew.
